At a meeting with VicGrid (at a rural location), representatives were engaged around the relevant nuances of rural property sales
and the need for policy covering valuation falls. Also a series of distances and heights were shown to illustrate the
visual amenity issues and highlighting the inadequacy of the 400m rule. The VicGrid representatives expressed their
appreciation for the experience and discussion.

Earlier this year the Victorian Government released a draft policy to cover some aspects of renewable energy infrastructure deployment.

At the VNI West Community Reference Group meeting the AEMO excutives committed to approaching the Victorian Government on behalf of affected neighbours.
Any updates on that committment will be reported in this blog.
It was also informative that the AEMO executives seemed quite unaware that neighbour properties are not compensated!!
